This impressive argema mettrei female (madagascan moon moth) had lived its full lifespan in a uk butterfly house. Once it had passed away it was deconstructed and framed in a large white frame measuring 18cm x 23cm. there is some slight damage to the wings as you can see in the picture, but this just adds to its beauty knowing that it has not been killed. The frame has a hanging attachment on the back.
These butterflies have lived their natural lifespan. They have NOT been killed.
Many sellers claim that their butterflies have died naturally but this is often not true. Butterflies will nearly always sustain some damage whilst alive. sometimes 1 or 2 wings from a butterfly will be in good condition due to this some of our products will have some minor damage and we feel that this only adds to its ethical beauty.
We are probably one of the only suppliers that can guarantee 100% that our products are from natural death and can trace every wing back to source. We pride ourselves on our ethics. Every item we sell is created from insect by-products from our own butterfly house, or our extensive network of live butterfly houses from across the world.
